In this video we show how to clip wings on Coturnix Quail so they cant fly. It could also be called a feather trim or wing trim. They don’t feel pain from the feathers being cut at all, its similar to a haircut. By cutting these particular feathers, the birds can still function normally, but cannot gain lift from their wings. We were having them jump straight up and fly up to eight feet high at only two weeks old! Not any more! They can jump and flap, but only get about 6-12 inches off the floor now.
