great line for top-water crank-baits near lilly-pads or weeds when you know you might get hung-up.30 lb test = 8 lb test is stamped on the spool. so the line thickness is the same as 8 lb test mono with the break strength of 30 lb test mono. the green color is a little shade of gray and blends in the water very well. I notice that i'm getting longer casts and less line twist, so this is a mono up-grade to me. tight lines and good fishing to all.
