Learn how to perform the calibration of a UV spectrophotometer using an FUV-0.5 calibration standard.

The test shown in the video is for photometric accuracy. It's super easy to do this test and we can break it down in a few steps:

Calibration of UV Spectrophotometer Guide:

1. Warm up the spectrophotometer for 45 minutes
2. Select the wavelength to calibrate and blank the machine
3. Insert the photometric accuracy filter of your choice.
4. Take your reading and compare your result to what is on the certificate of calibration.
5. Repeat for additional wavelengths.

Taking the time to do this initial test will save you lots of time and headaches, because you know the data you are getting is 100% accurate.
