A water main break cause flooding early Tuesday near 1300 S between 700-900 W.
Fire officials responded to calls about the flooding between 4-4:30 a.m., and although there were no injuries to report, some homes experienced significant flooding. All homeowners were able to get in and out of their residences with assistance from Salt Lake City Fire, Fire Captan Shaun Mumedy said.
But some cars were stuck in debris — and one vehicle was completely swallowed by the sinkhole the water created.
