In the winter months we do our best to protect our Shetland Ponies from the worst of the weather. Although they are able to survive in really harsh conditions ,we think it's better they don't have to, so we stable them in large pens in our Rare Breeds barn while giving them regular exercise in our purpose-built sand paddocks. When spring comes around nothing beats the real deal of having a run around on some grass, Farmers Dale and Alex recently got the opportunity to let Jon Bon and Pony Hadley loose in our grass paddock. Safe to say they loved it!
