Ahead of the Amarnath Yatra, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has implemented a robust security plan to safeguard pilgrims travelling on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44). This crucial route witnesses a large influx of devotees throughout the yatra, and the CRPF is leaving no stone unturned to ensure their safety. CRPF is deployed at every nook and corner, keeping a watchful eye for any suspicious activity. This vigilant presence aims to deter any potential threats and ensure the safety of pilgrims. Udhampur Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai said, "... Security arrangements are in place. Additional deployment is being made along the National Highway because Udhampur lies on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. We will ensure a safe and secure movement for all the pilgrims. In Udhampur, we have made 26 lodgement centres which can accommodate 6000 pilgrims. Nodal officers have been deployed at lodgement centres to oversee preparations."
