Watch as a normal day in the bush is quickly interrupted by a lion passing through the vicinity where the elephants are foraging! Khanyisa is easy to spot with her brighter pink skin but you'll have to look fast to spot the lion dashing off as the elephants trumpet! Kumbura and Tokwe both take to Khanyisa's side to protect her and Limpopo joins in soon, while Jabulani is close by and gives extra company to the calf as the herd wait for the lion to be long gone. While it's harder to see wildlife in the bush now with the lush vegetation everywhere, elephants use their sense of smell to pick up the scent of lions and other animals. If the wind is blowing in the wrong direction though, they can miss an animal located close by. Fortunately, this female lion moves on quickly and the herd return to feeding.
