In this video, I start with making marks with a china marker or pencil, then apply thin layers of acrylic paint using a brayer in a simple grid format. I use a simple color palette. I then add my larger collage pieces to activate the space. I continue by alternating between paint and paper.
By creating a series using layers, it is easier to deal with one layer at a time by responding to what is there.
