Standing at the Sky's Edge won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical in 2023 and already feels like a classic. After playing Sheffield's Crucible Theatre in 2019 amd 2022, and the National Theatre's Olivier in 2023, the show has finally transferred to the West End proper.

This is my review of the opening night at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on Feb 28, 2024.

Based on the music of Richard Hawley (Pulp, The Longpigs), Standing at the Sky's Edge follows three families over six decades as they each take residence in the same flat in Sheffield's infamous Park Hill estate.
