The meiotic spindle is an essential structure of the oocytes which participates in chromosomal segregation during the last steps of the meiosis. In R&D center, we can use specific staining and fluorescence microscopy to check that the spindle is correctly assembled in a barrel shape with all the chromosomes aligned in its center.
