Bandleader Freddy Martin was a busy guy throughout 1933 and 1934, conducting scores of recording sessions for 78rpm release on Brunswick (under his own name) and the various ARC labels (under a series of pseudonyms, such as ‘Eddie Jackson’).
The original 78rpm single was issued on Vocalion 2748 - I Only Have Eyes For You (Al Dubin-Harry Warren) by ‘Eddie Jackson’ & his Orchestra (Freddy Martin), vocal by Smith Ballew, recorded in NYC May 31, 1934
