Wondering how the heck to apply tattoo stencils?
In this video I touch base on a few important variables to consider upon applying tattoo stencils to real human skin.
Upon applying tattoo stencils to human skin, I personally feel that it is all about the ratio's we are using. When I say ratio I am referring to the amount of stencil stuff or stencil applicant to the area of skin the applicant is covering.
This is where the stencil will be made or broken. If we apply too little the stencil will have trouble sticking to the skin therefore it will come out very faint and light as you see in the video.
If we apply too much we get instant bleeding which can and will ruin the entire stencil as you can see in this video. I don't about others but for me I am super picky, I will NOT tattoo is my stencil is not how I need it. The stencil is crucial to the rest of the process.
If we apply just the right amount of stencil applicant over a specific portion we will get a nice dense and saturated stencil as you can see in the video.
The trick is to get the correct amount of stencil applicant onto the area. We NEVER want to put too much and we will always want to put enough. I highly recommend getting a bunch of little stencils, cutting them all out, and using a selected part of yourself, practice applying tattoo stencils.
I remember when I first started I literally spent like 3 hours just applying stencils to myself, to my friends around me, on silicone, rubber, on my walls. This helped me cover so much ground and get very very familiar with what is right & wrong upon applying tattoo stencils.
