This theta binaural track helps to induce a mind-state that is beneficial to a specific type of OBE, called astral projection. I created this track after having inadvertently discovered that these specific frequencies can contribute to an astral projection experience. My thoughts for why this occurs is that the frequencies are similar to what one would experience in a REM state, which is a part of the sleep cycle where the most dreams occur.

The trick is to listen to this while you're going to sleep, so you hit the REM stage quicker. At that point, what I did, was visualize my light body leaving my physical body, and then all of a sudden I was looking at myself on the bed from outside my body! It was very cool.

The binaural entrainment achieved with this track is 7.83 Hz, which is also referred to as the Schumann Resonance. "Directional" refers to the switching of frequencies between channels, so as to stimulate both sides of the brain.

What are binaural beats?
Binaural beats are the technique of combining two slightly different sound frequencies to create a single new frequency tone.
When exposed to two different frequencies at the same time, one in each ear, the brain perceives a single tone, the difference between the two separate frequencies. Your brain becomes entrained to this new frequency, meaning the sound waves create shifts in the brainwaves themselves.
