Do you need help identifying Cortinarius mushrooms? Me Too! They're wonderful dye mushrooms that can create a variety of natural color, depending on the species. Different species contain different dyes: orange, pink, or red. The hard part (for me at least!) is identifying them. This is my Mom's simple go-to test for figuring out which little brown mushroom I picked holds dye, and which one doesn't.
