I am always hesitant to get medication for my mental disorders. I am still young and don't want to rely on man-made chemicals if there are options that are natural. Just as a reminder, always check with your doctor if you are concerned about taking these with medications. I have never heard of a negative effect with the rescue remedy and valerian root has very few documented complications with other medicines but if you have questions it is always a good idea to check with a professional!
