Testing your equipment regularly is key to noticing and correcting potential issues before they become a bigger problem. Here’s how to perform a leak detection test on a SEALPAC Traysealer:
1) Cut and remove the film from the sealing station
2) Close all safety guards and doors
3) On the home screen, select OPERATION
4) Then select USER SET-UP
5) Then select SERVICE CUSTOMER
6) Then select VACUUM TEST
7) Press START under LEAK DETECTION
8) The bottom tool will then rise and fill with compressed air
9) You can now open side doors and guards to inspect for leaks
10) Using leak detection spray, cover the areas most likely to cause leaks i.e. film clamp plate, knife cover plate, etc. If there is a leak, the detection spray is likely to indicate this by causing air bubbles
11) To deactivate leak detection, press STOP
12) The lifting system will then open and return to the home position
