Hey Guys, The Toyota GR Corolla continues to make a splash with the return of the 2024 Circuit Edition. This time, it adds a choice of Blue Flame colors for a head-turning look, with Ice Cap rounding out the available choices. 18-inch BBS ® black forged aluminum wheels come standard, similar to the lighter wheels fitted on the 2023 MORIZO Edition. Rounding out the Blue Flame Circuit Edition package are black side sill graphics that extend to the embossed GR-Four logo.
The Circuit Edition model retains its vented domed hood, gloss black GR sport mesh front grille with functional brake ducts, and angular LED headlights. The aerodynamic details continue at the rear, with a gloss black rear spoiler, lower rear diffuser, and triple exhaust. Inside, sport seats trimmed in Brin Naub® suede and synthetic leather with blue accents, a unique blue-striped GR shift knob and blue stitching bring the new 2024 look home. A JBL® Premium Audio system with eight speakers and an amplifier is also standard.
Permanent perfectionists, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing engineers continue to pay attention to the smallest details with hardware updates to the chassis and adjustments to the front aeroduct for 2024. Hardware updates include changes to the mounting bolts on the steering gear, rear suspension and battery mass. Aerodynamic updates include the addition of aluminum sheets to the front and rear bumpers, as well as a change in the duct shape on the front bumper air outlet.
The GR Corolla Circuit Edition’s aerodynamic performance comes from a combination of aero panels and ducts, as well as added downforce from the rear diffusers and spoiler. The underbody panels use large underfloor covers for seamless coverage, and aero-stabilizing fins are positioned underneath to help guide airflow. Up front, side air curtains are positioned next to the grille to help air flow toward the outlets behind the front wheels and out the wheel arches. For 2024, the shape of this duct has been redesigned, and aluminum sheets have been placed under the front and rear wheel arches to help support vehicle stability. On the Circuit Edition, hood and fender ducts help to keep air flowing through the engine compartment.
Under the hood of the GR Corolla Circuit Edition is the 1.6-liter G16E-GTS turbocharged 3-cylinder engine. It produces 300 hp at 6,500 rpm and 273 lb-ft of torque at 3,000-5,500 rpm. Like all GR Corolla models, it is exclusively equipped with a six-speed intelligent manual transmission with rev-matching that is done at the touch of a recessed button located on the lower dashboard, just below the steering column.
