Angeloni's is a cozy trattoria style restaurant/pizzeria with all the trappings of the old rustic and familiar style. We ordered our appetizers first which came out in a timely fashion and the portions were very generous. We started with the eggplant rollitini which is always a big hit with me. Then the calamari which was very crisp and tender. I poured on the marinara sauce giving these little critters one more swim before I devoured them. We then shared a Spedini which is an Italian style grilled cheese with a white wine and caper sauce. This one had more than cheese, it was packed with prosciutto. The entrée's are also plentiful. We shared a family style portion of Chicken Scarpiello which is boneless chicken made with mushrooms, onion, hot peppers in a brown wine sauce. Then another giant portion of Chicken Angeloni which is made with sweet peppers and sausage and oven roasted. We ended with a large plate of Shrimp Fra Diavolo. Fra diavolo means "with the devils brother". What made this an oxymoron was it was served with angel hair pasta. Together the taste was heavenly.
