Formula One geeks, rejoice! Someone is finally taking all — okay, some — of the high tech that powers the racing machines piloted by Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc and putting it into a road car.
And ironically — 'cause Porsche does not currently field an F1 entry — the recipient of all this gee-whiz hybridization will be the hoary old 911. Yes, the car the company wants to keep piston-powered so desperately that it’s developing its own synthetic gas is now going hybrid.
But this new 911 won't just be any ol' hybrid. It will be arguably — actually, scratch that, there’s no arguing this fact — the most advanced hybrid ever to wear a license plate.
