Welcome to central Nevada, about 70 miles east-northeast of Tonopah, far from the hustle and bustle of city life this is the Lunar Crater. Near the famous Extraterrestrial Highway, its rugged terrain appears otherworldly. This 430 foot deep crater was once used as the training ground for Apollo missions in the 1970s because of the similarity between this landscape and the terrain on the moon. Join me as I explore the history of this massive crater.
