The AGU Sagan Lecture series sponsored jointly by the Biogeosciences and Planetary Sciences Sections of AGU and is aimed to provide perspectives on astrobiology and public engagement on critical issues which transcends boundaries of disciplinary research and planetary boundaries. These lectures encompass topics integrate and synthesize multiple disciplines in a unique fashion to explore and to expand our knowledge of life without boundaries. This seminar will cover use of remote sensing to connect atmospheric and land system ecologist across multiple scales through the study of the carbon cycle.
Inez Fung is a Professor of atmospheric science at the University of California, Berkeley jointly appointed in the Department of Earth and Planetary Science and the Department of Environmental Science, Policy and Management. Scott Denning is a Professor in the Atmospheric Science Department and Monfort Professor at Colorado State University. He served as Director of Education for CMMAP from 2006 to 2015.
