Joao Gilberto recorded this beautiful song in 1968 with music by Antonio Carlos Jobim and lyrics by Chico Buarque. An instrumental version of the same song was released earlier in 1967 under the title "Zingaro" which means "gypsy". The music was written in 1965. In English, the title is known as "Portrait in Black and White". Chico reversed the the usual order of "black and white" because the only word in Portuguese that would of rhymed was "tamanco". It is arranged and performed here by pianist Mark Marineau.
