It’s now time to set our sights on another important aspect of the SharePoint Framework: extensions. While web parts allow authors to add content within the context of a page, they don’t allow for customization outside of this scope. Extensions, on the other hand, provide the ability to add new features to lists, libraries, fields, and even page headers and footers. In this lesson, we’ll create a new application customizer extension from scratch and explore how to develop, test, and deploy extensions in our SharePoint environment.
