DeQuervain’s syndrome is a painful condition commonly seen by hand therapists.
🚨De Quervains disease is a stenosing tenosynovitis involving the tendons of abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis, presenting as persistent pain and swelling over the radial styloid.
Hand therapy and corticosteroid injections are the primary conservative management approaches for de Quervain’s disease.
⭐️Rest, splinting, injections, hand therapy and surgery if needed may all help
