Legend of the Blue Sea (Korean: 푸른 바다의 전설) is a 2016–2017 South Korean television series starring Jun Ji-Hyun and Lee Min-ho. This drama portrays the love story of a conman and a mermaid who goes across the ocean to find him. The story is based on a traditional Joseon legend from Korea's first collection of unofficial historical tales about a fisherman who captures and releases a mermaid.
