Follow the steps below to get custom Now Playing text on Discord 2021:
1. Open discord and ensure you are logged in.
2. Select the gear in the bottom left near your username to open the user settings.
3. In the Discord user settings under Activity Settings, select Activity Status.
4. Once in Activity Settings, ensure 'Display currently running game as a status message' is turned on.
5. To enter a custom Now Playing message select 'Add it!' near the top of Activity Settings.
6. Select an application on your PC that is always running in the background and then select Add Game.
7. To add custom text select the name of the application and delete the text.
8. You can now add any Now Playing message you want.
9. Once you have changed the now playing text, close the settings.
