The cover fits the Pro 9.7 exactly as it does on the Air 2. But -- Apple changed the polarity of the magnet on the new device, forcing those upgrading from the iPad Air 2 to buy new Smart Covers that cost $10 more than the ones for the iPad Air 2!
It's one thing if the form factor of the new iPad Pro 9.7 was different. But it's exactly the same as the prior version. A shady way to extract more dollars from loyal customers IMHO.
