Dozens of religious leaders signed a joint appeal Monday to urge governments around the world to commit to ambitious targets at the upcoming UN climate Conference in Glasgow, Scotland. Among them was Pope Francis, who has been outspoken on the moral imperative to address climate change’s threat to future generations and the communities most threatened by the crisis. "We have inherited a garden; we must not leave a desert to our children," the faith leaders’ appeal said.
