Roger Beaty is appealing his 20-year prison sentence for drug-related charges and DUI on six different grounds. The court found that a witness's testimony was admissible and affirmed some of the convictions but reversed others. The court also found that evidence was excluded that should have been allowed, and the defendant's right to present a defense was violated. There was also an issue with double jeopardy, as the defendant was convicted of both possessing and manufacturing methamphetamine without specifying which quantity.
