The Elephant Whisperers' has now become a global sensation after having won the Oscar for Best Documentary Short Film.
While the story of the human couple of Bomman and Bellie showering love towards the orphaned elephant has been watched by millions around the globe, the protagonists of this short film are yet to watch it for themselves.
The reasons: no mobile phone, no social media account and no 4G mobile network where they live.
“We have been living in the Mudumalai forest and have no exposure to the outside world”, says Bellie.
Amid all the Oscar winning celebrations, tourists have started thronging the Mudumalai Theppakadu elephant camp to meet the baby elephant ‘Raghu’ from the documentary.
