In this simple exercise, consisting of eight notes, I'm focusing on some pretty important things.
First of all, this is, of course, FREEDOM, without which there should be no professional performance. Without possessing freedom on which the whole playing technique is based, we can hardly talk about any development in classical guitar.
Here I’m paying special attention mainly to the left hand: freedom of the wrist and organization of finger movements.
I’m also focusing on the thumb of the left hand, as it (amongst other things!) impacts freedom and ease of the left hand movements.
I’ve always been talking and will repeat time and again about the length of each note and by WHAT means this can be achieved (having an ear for music is not discussed. This should be there by default).
Elbow, forearm and left hand positions are also shown when playing gamut-like movements from the first to the ninth position and back.
The elbow, forearm and fingers of the right hand haven’t also been left out, but this has already been discussed in previously published videos, which you can find on the channel Classics of Sound DN.
The right hand, its positioning and sound extraction options deserve a separate video, which will certainly appear later.
