The Iraqi military says it's in the final stages of an operation to recapture Tikrit from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. Government forces have been helped by air strikes on the northern city, from the United States. Tikrit has been in the hands of ISIL since last June. Al Jazeera's Gerald Tan reports.
