The Asus ROG Ally X takes everything great about the original and makes it even better.

It has an 80Wh battery - double the size of the original. RAM has been boosted from 16GB up to 24GB. It comes with 1TB of storage as standard and you get two USB-C ports instead of just the one.

The ergonomics have also been refined: The hand grips have been rounded, the macro buttons have been shrunk so you’re less likely to press them by accident and the distance between the sticks and the buttons has been reduced.

Despite all that, the Ally X is only 11.5% heavier than the old model, weighing in at a reasonably lightweight 678g.

The new Asus ROG Ally X will retail for £799 and is available for pre-order on the Asus website now.
