► At a webinar I hosted last week, someone asked a fantastic question. They asked, "How do you balance doing more and planning less?"
I get where that question is coming from. For me, I can get caught up in planning and at some point, a line is crossed where it can become procrastination. I can make the excuse that I am planning while avoiding actually doing the work I need to do.
If you've not done planning before, starting with a planning system takes more time at first. In the beginning, you are learning and becoming more efficient with your planning system.
When I first started with daily planning, it took me from 35 - 40 minutes to plan. But I quickly got better at it. It's like a muscle that gets developed over time. As my muscle has gotten stronger, I now plan every day in 10 - 15 minutes. When you stick with it, you get better at it.
Every time I convince myself that I don't need a plan, I regret it and know I would have had a more effective day if I would have only planned.
Commit to having a system of daily planning. Once you do, you will get better at is and in time have the Authentic Success that you deserve.
