Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this Dutton-Lainson hand winch with automatic brake. This Dutton-Lainson industrial winch is designed for heavy-duty vertical lifting operations. Just gonna crank the handle clockwise to lift the load and counterclockwise to lower the load. And the gear-covered, enclosed, automatic braking mechanism is going to lock the load in place when the hand cranking stops.
As you can see, this does include a handle. And the overall length of the handle from top to bottom, we're sitting right at about 13 1/2 inches long. And our grip here does rotate. So, this is going to be perfect for grain augers, boat lifts, and other industrial applications. This has a capacity of 2,500 pounds and a minimum load of 300 pounds.
This is made here in the USA. And it features a zinc TUFFPLATE base and hardware, and a powder coated black reel. The reel hub diameter is 2 1/2 inches. And I took some measurements earlier before our time together and the overall length of the unit itself is sitting right at about 11 1/2 inches long. And the overall width including where the handle is going to mount to, we're sitting right at about 10 inches wide.
And then the overall height from top to bottom, we're sitting right at about seven inches tall. And let me give you a look, a view of the base here. This does not include any mounting hardware just so you are aware. The overall length of the base, we're sitting right at about 9 1/2 inches long. And then the overall width, we are sitting right at about 5 1/2 inches wide.
