Joe Kapp was bigger than life on and off the football field. Fiery quarterback B.C. He led the Lions to their first Gray Cup title, then made worldwide headlines when he faced Hall of Famer Angelo Mosca in more than 45 years. Kapp Monday night at the age of 85. The Lions have confirmed Kapp's death. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed, but Kapp told the San Jose Mercury News in 2016 that he had Alzheimer's disease and donated his brain for concussion research. There were also reports that he had been battling dementia for over a decade.
