I revisit my old idea to use chuckya in addition to a goomba ladder to get past the pole in BitS. Previously, I had tried this and it failed [[ Ссылка ]]. However, this time I used grinding to accelerate Mario to a faster initial speed, and positioned the goombas further apart. Consequently, I was able to perform the technique successfully. If this ends up working, it would reduce the required number of goombas from 34 to 21, so it would speed things up.
Note that this technique depends on the assumption that we can bring chuckya all the way up the course, which will be difficult to say the least. Thus, that will be the next thing to look into.
For the record, the goomba heights were 2980.531738 and 3148.063477, which are possible in practice. Note that these heights are not as high as possible, because the goal was to move laterally as much as possible while still being able to achieve enough height to get onto the yellow platform.
P.S. It's instances like these where the keok system really works well. See, when I first tested this idea and it didn't work, I declared it impossible to do. However, I also posted a video of my failure to serve as documentation for why I believed it to be impossible. In this fashion, future-me can go back and assess the methods of past-me. In this case, I noticed that past-me didn't grind before the bounces, and didn't sacrifice goomba height for the sake of travelling further laterally. Thus, I realized that my previous testing was inconclusive, so it was worth testing further.
