Former Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia Wang Wenbin has been appointed as China's 32nd foreign ministry spokesperson. The 49-year-old diplomat has also worked at Chinese embassies in Mauritius, Senegal and Cameroon. China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) officially established the office of the spokesperson in 1983. It's currently the only government department in China that holds regular press conferences every workday.
