Jesse Myers, a fund manager and Bitcoin expert, has predicted in a blog post that Bitcoin's market cap could increase 500 times over, equating to $10m per coin. Myers has argued that Bitcoin's long-term price trajectory is destined to absorb value from other asset classes, largely due to its ability to appreciate over time, which is caused by increasing scarcity. Such an idea is not new and forms the core thesis of many popular takes on Bitcoin. Myers also calculates that Bitcoin's current allocation is 0.05% of global asset value, meaning $10m per Bitcoin should be a "conservative estimate". Myers believes that Bitcoin's full potential is to eat 25% of the world's value while today it constitutes just 0.05%.
