Ingredients and Measurements:
3 tbsp. oil
2 tsp. cumin/geera seeds
1/2 onion chopped
6 cloves garlic chopped
3 wiri wiri peppers chopped (any hot pepper of your choice)
1 scallion chopped
3/4 cup yellow split peas
3/4 cup red lentils (optional- you can swap out for yellow split peas)
2 tbsp. green seasoning
2 tsp. cumin/geera powder
salt to taste
2 tsp. turmeric (use more or less for color)
water to cover and cook
