Hero/Villain: Satoshi: The Man Who Built Bitcoin
[ Ссылка ]
I'm back with an update on "The Hero Villain" book about Satoshi Nakamoto and the origins of Bitcoin. I share new details that have emerged in the proof chapters, including Craig Wright's meeting with McGregor, a patent attorney who started the blockchain company Encrypt.
The story describes how McGregor called Wright's claims into question when he suddenly visited the Encrypt office with Matthews and Calvin Ayre. Later McGregor flew to Sydney to meet Wright and found paperwork proving he had created blockchain technology under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto back in 2006.
McGregor offered to fund Wright's struggling business in exchange for the rights to publish about Satoshi Nakamoto. This contract from October 2015 gave McGregor motive to out Wright as Satoshi just before the Gizmodo and Wired exposés in December 2015.
Another twist is that in November 2015, in between signing the contract and the media articles, McGregor met with famous author Andrew O’Hagan to ghostwrite a book about Craig Wright being Satoshi. So McGregor gained the most from Wright being outed.
I share my perspective that McGregor likely orchestrated the outing to profit from the rights he acquired and hype around the Satoshi story. This new information indicates McGregor could have been behind the push to expose Wright as Satoshi Nakamoto along with possible involvement from Gavin Andresen.
Overall, the emerging proof around Wright's identity and the forces working against him make for an exciting story. Check the video description for a link to get the book and follow along with these revelations. Please subscribe, like, and comment with your thoughts on this Bitcoin origin status update!
