For this season in the vineyard, we have assembled a great team to join our permanent vineyard crew, in the painstaking process of managing our vines. Our team usually do 12 or more passes of each vine in the vineyard - and there are 65,000 vines on Miisha's Vineyard. With 4,000 metres of vineyard rows per hectare, and 26 hectares of vineyard, that's 104 kms of rows. So 12 passes means our team collectively walk 1,248km each season!
Not every pass is fast - here's Remi from our team shoot thinning a single vine. This is done so that we manage our crop level down to where we can ripen the fruit produced and maintain high quality.
