Το Άλμπατρος είναι μία μικρού μήκους animation ταινία, σκηνοθετημένη από τους Alex Karonis, Alex Jeremy και Joel Best. Η ταινία γυρίστηκε στο ακαδημαϊκό πλαίσιο του τελευταίου έτους των σπουδών τους, στο University of Technology του Σίδνεϊ.
Τα άλμπατρος είναι μεγάλα θαλασσοπούλια, το όνομά τους ετυμολογικά σημαίνει «δύτης», και, όπως πίστευαν οι παλιοί ναυτικοί, το χαμηλό πέταγμά τους γύρω από ένα καράβι θεωρείται καλός οιωνός για το ταξίδι. Ωστόσο, στα αγγλικά, η μεταφορική χρήση της λέξης σημαίνει επίσης «ψυχολογικό βάρος το οποίο βιώνεται ως κατάρα». Αυτή λοιπόν η αμφισημία έρχεται να αντικατοπτρίσει την εσωτερική σύγκρουση που χαρακτηρίζει τον πρωταγωνιστή αυτής της μικρής ιστορίας.

After a successful festival circuit screening at festivals including the prestigious AACTA Awards (AFI Awards Australia), Sydney Film Festival and Animafest Zagreb, The Albatross is ready to make it's internet debut.

Software used: Maya, Zbrush, Nuke and rendered in Renderman
