The Uganda Muslim Supreme Council has commended parliament for standing firm and passing the Anti-Homosexuality Bill into law. The call came as hundreds of Muslim faithful turned up at Old Kampala Mosque to mark the first Jumah prayers of the holy month of Ramadan. Sheikh Juma Shiwuyu who lead the prayers urged the Muslim faithful to be exemplary in their communities as they observe the holy month of Ramadan if they want Allah's blessings. For his part, the Mufti Sheikh Shaban Ramadan Mubajje commended parliament and other leaders for agreeing to a good moral standpoint.
