One of our favorite French bakeries in Spring Branch (and in all of Houston for that matter) is Magnol French Baking.
It’s located in a mostly vacant retail strip off Hempstead and N Post Oak Rd, but don’t let that fool or deter you. This place is definitely LEGIT, and during the weekends there’s a line before they open.
You’ve never had a croissant until you’ve had a fresh-out-the-oven plain butter croissant from Magnol. That croissant literally changed @christna_tran’s life. And on the weekends they make a ham and Gruyère croissant that we consistently crave, but they always sell out before 10 am.
Our other favorites are the Paris-Brest, mille-feuille, and their baguette with some ham and cheese. We also make sure to try the different seasonal pastries they have throughout the year 😊😋
