This video shows how to fix the short flush annoyance of the American Standard Champion 4 toilet flushing system.
Its as simple as extending the fill tube length using a 1" PVC pipe coupling and adjusting the float height as high as it will go. It's a tight fit requiring careful application of a fair amount of downward pressure and wiggling to get it to slide on and it will only slide on about 1/4" at most.
Total cost .50 cents time to install 2 minutes.
Background:
Water waste during toilet flushing is a huge problem.
And we all believe more water means better flushing as the evidence disappears down the hole.
The Champion 4 toilet has one of the largest exit pipes in the market and through clever design has managed to improve flushing efficiency and performance.
But, when what you want gone, is still there after a flush, you don't want to have to start explaining or asking someone why.
In general more water and longer flush equals more pressure and better flushing. It's the only thing you can control and they are doing everything they can to stop you unless you want to try a new toilet.
This fix will keep everyone in the house happy when they see the toilet flush like they expect it too.
Enjoy
