Here's a project I did recently after cutting down a few large trees whose roots were growing underneath my building. If you're building walls or floors are starting to crack and you're near a large tree then it wouldn't be a bad idea to check around the perimeter of your building foundation to see if tree roots are growing near or under them. Concrete can retain moisture that tree roots are attracted to and over time can cause severe damage to the building.
