In this video (which is part 1 of a 2 part series), let's hop in a SW Missouri Strip Pit in Henry County and use an Ultra-Lite outfit and a finesse worm called a Garden Worm to catch lots of bass, bluegill and Green Sunfish.
The Bear Paws 3" Garden Worm in color No. 60 (Heaven and Earth), mounted on a 1/32d oz jig head, was the Star of the show.
Best fish were a really nice 10"+ Green Sunfish which weighed in at 1 lb, 1 oz and a 16.5" +/- bass which weighed in at 2 lb, 9 oz.
Conditions: water temperatures ranging from 77-82, visibility of approx 3 feet, Baro 30.0 mb and air temp 75-85.
Fishing was good all day with fish of all species (no crappie) hanging out within 10 feet of the bank in weedy, shady areas or steep banks.
Rudie Tootie Papillon Puppy and Leila Yorkie sniff out a Garden Worm to start the show; enjoy!
