CEDA welcomes three UK based thought leaders to provide their insight into this critical debate around the risks and opportunities in public infrastructure investment.
Infrastructure is critical to national productivity and economic growth. However Australia's infrastructure is not keeping pace with either current or projected demand. Without resolution, these capacity constraints will continue to impose negative outcomes on national productivity.
MEET THE SPEAKERS
Dr Michele Acuto - Research Director and Senior Lecturer in Global Networks and Diplomacy at STEaPP. Michele is also Fellow of the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society (InSIS) at the University of Oxford.
Professor Arthur Petersen - Professor of Environmental Public Policy, UCL
Professor Brian Collins - Brian joined University College London (UCL) in August 2011 as Professor of Engineering Policy, and the Director of the Centre for Engineering Policy. In this capacity, Brian has been leading the creation of UCL Department of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Public Policy - STEaPP - and the related cross-Faculty Institute focused on policy engagement and decision support. He was bestowed by Her Majesty the Queen the Honour of Companion of the Bath (CB) in the 2011 New Year's Honours list, and elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2009.
