Wapping is a hidden corner of London steeped in maritime history, pirates, warehouse districts and wharves, all just minutes from Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Starting at chic St Katharine Docks, full of yachts and eateries, this narrated walk follows the Thames Path and Wapping High Street, ending at Tobacco Dock and the Ornamental Canal - a filming location for James Bond - and onto Spirit Quay before returning to St Katharine Docks. On the way, we find the infamous Wapping Steps right on the Thames next to the Town of Ramsgate pub before uncovering the history of the Turks Head pub on Wapping Gardens. All of this in less than an hour:)
